Live a life less boring...: 2012

Last May 1-5 we had our DomNet Summer Youth Camp at Notre Dame Siena School of Marbel somewhere in South Cotabato. i didn't have the time to post some pictures because of busy sched and my LAZINESS. i miss that camp so i decided to do so.

May 1 ( 1st day- arrival)
We departed from our school at 6 am, we rode a van. There were 13 people in the van including the driver, and hell it was crowded, maybe because of the bulky bags we brought. We were so close to each other, i mean srsly. too close. but t'was fun. we had fun along the ride,we did all the things we could think, mess with them while sleeping, talk , talk, talk, gossip. hahaha. Well because it was almost 5 hours of travel, out butt felt like sticking to the chairs. we stopped to at Sta.Ana to eat breakfast, some of us , well most of us didn't have breakfast so we had one. The travel was tiring but t'was worth it when we arrived to our desired destination. We had our registration then out kits were handed out and then we were accompanied by ate Pat to our quarters, we were with the female participants of Assumpta School of Mawab. we were 22 at the room.

Later that day we were divided to 13 tribes, and i belonged to the Tribe 13 the tribung PICK-UP "BOOM !" It was awkward at first but later on, we got to bond and i had fun with them, and for the next 4 days of the camp i spent alot of time with them.

Night that day, all schools were obliged to present something in the crowd , we were the 24th to present so it took forever for us to wait for our turn but were very nervous , our heart was pounding as we saw other schools presentation end and ours getting closer. We danced, but unfortunately, the music stopped and dead air took place , we didnt knew what to do, but thank God , Nica the group's singer saved the day. phew !

hahaha. see ? beat that ! well, we ended that night happy and contented atleast we were not that humiliated. :))))
May 2 ( 2nd day - adventure time )
Woke up early to take a bath, because if you wake up late, you'll end up unbathed and be late with early activities of the camp. so woke up around 4 then went back to sleep. hahaha. we had our morning exercise lead by Sir ANselmo from UST. man ! t'was tiring it took almost an hour , how'd you like that ? ( seksi na ako ) after that work out we headed to Lake Sebu, all of us were excited to ride the zipline.

i rode the zipline with this two, had so much fun even though i almost cried cause i was very frightened . lols

Then after all the participants rode the zipline, we headed to Punta Isla, wherein we had our lunch and a segment dedicated to our Tiboli brothers and sisters , who lives by the lake and sets fishinga as their source of income, Manong Roberto is a tiboli who lives by the lake and was interviewed by a very inteligent tiboli, sorry i forgot the name cause we focused on manong roberto. His life is very inspiring, he's contented with what he has and he was asked if there is something he would ask to the government what would be, and he answered that a NET is enough. and i salute him. Then after that we headed back to the venue and took a long rest for tha mass later.

May 3 ( 3rd day- The Bond )
A twenty minute work-out by sir Anselmo , then had tons of activities which included the Helium Hoop, heard of that game ? heck ! our patience was really tested. we need to balance the hoop down until to the groud and our figners should always touch the hoop, we tried it for the nth time still we didn't get it, we never gave up, and the bond i had with them during that challenge was priceless especially to my sweaty friend Kim, her sweats like a pigs, its like a faucet of sweat, but heck t'was fun. Eventually we were able to conquer it, with the help of a sister. We then took a rest, kim and max went to our quarters, there they met my friends i came with. then later that day we had the Via Luccis which means Way of Light. Evening came , had the Holy Mass then confession, i have a lot to confess and so i did. After that, we had a concert lead by YFC's and had a worship, it wasn't how i picture a worship but i understand that not all knows how to worship, ended the night @ 12 midnight. Goodnight :)

May 4 ( 4th day - The end is near T.T )
We traveled early to Gensan,we rode a bus and slept cause its an hour away from the venue, and my dear friend Papo made me her pillow and she was heavy. ghaaaaa. anyways TO THE BEACH ! we had our team building there. t'was raining in Marbel but t'was hot as hell in Gensan. hahaha. the irony. we had our exercise at the beach, and then had bloody games. hahaha. srsly, some participants were injured . thank God my tribemates didn't get any. hahaha. before we gone swimming we had our breakfast, a burger courtesy of jollibee (choss! ) and bottled water. Then into the water !we chose to swim at the pool , used the slide for the nth time.

Buut, the fun didn't end there, we went back to the venue at around 2:30 and took a good long rest for the mass the PROM. Eeee. so we slept right after we arrived , some of us roamed around the school. hahaha.

Sunset came, and after the mass we were instructed to get ready for the Sta.Cruzan. Lara as our Reyna Elena and Popoy as Constantino.i was the official photographer during that event. hihi :")

Right after the Sta.Cruzan,had dinner .Then Prom ! Many of the participants really brought bulky gowns, while most some of us just wore dresses, they all look so royal, everyone were gorgeous including the boys, while wearing their suits. hahaha. Then had a catillion ( i dunno if thats the right spelling) given by selcted members of the tribe. they danced gracefully and really showed what they got. After that its Party time ! All went to the dancefloor, had a showdown.not all joined us but still the level of fun is unreachable, we danced till were sick. i even got the chance to dance with kuya Ej, hihi. lucky me. i, who didn't have the talent in dancing had a blast even though i didn't know hoe to do so. hahaha. We really enjoyed our last night , we didn't sleep untill its already dawn, we didn't plan to sleep because its our last night and we want to savor each moment we are together. but, we were all drained that day and decided to just sleep, we slept at around 2 or 3 in the morning. hahaha.

May 5 ( 5th day- au revior my dear friends )

      Can i just cry ? its the last day of the camp, the hardest part during a camp. We all had a frown face, none of us wanted to go home. especially me, because of the bond i had with my tribemates and the connection i made with them. We had a talk given by Father Jeff, from UST, had a task wherein we wer tasked to connect the strings we have in our kits and create a Net, which signifies that we are part of a net, and we'll always be connected to each other wherever we may be.Then came the sad part, The Ritual of Goodbye, we were asked to approach someone we made so close during the camp and then there's kim, as the ritual of goodbye was about to end, tears fell from my eyes, i didn't know why.maybe because i will miss that pig so much, she's like the big sister i never had although i was older but she looks bigger.hahaha. peace.I will miss my tribe, TRIBUNG PICK-UP - BOOM !, and the bond i made with them will forever be remembered. And as a remembrance , kim gave me her varsity jacket. i was shocked when she handed it to me, and thought she was just joking but she wasn't, but if she didn't gave it to me i would still remember that rascal and the happy times we had throughout the camp. promised with my tribemates to stay connected after the camp.I will treasure each moment i had with them, and hopefully we could see other next summer camp, me zooo ekzited. ghaad, I MISS THEM :)
